Mark Fisher is well known in the music business for his extraordinary stage designes, especially for large stadium and arena rock shows. On June 25, Fisher died peacefully at the age of 66 in hospital after suffering from a long and difficult illness. This was published by his company Stufish. Fisher has become a well known name among rock fans for his stage designed for bands such as Pink Floyd (The Division Bell Tour) or U2 (u.a. 360° Tour) among others. For Genesis, Fisher has designed the 2007 stage of their highly successful Turn It On Again Tour. Fans may remember the sequence in the tour documentary Come Rain Or Shine, when Fisher presented his plans to the band and how he'd like to put them in a capsule to have them move up and down - just until Tony Bank had to explain that he's suffering from going vertigo.
Not only the 2007 was designed by Mark. He is also responsible for the big production that was planned for the Calling All Stations tour 1998, which was never built that way. An animation of the concept can be seen on the CD-Rom part of the Congo CD-Single.
Mark has also worked for Phil Collins - his center stage concept of the Trip Into The Light tour 1997 was designed by Mark as well.
