Andrew Roachford: New album “Encore” and solo tour

One of the current frontmen of Mike + The Mechanics has been working on his own solo career of almost 30 years. Andrew Roachford releases Encore, his ninth album, on March 11. Apart from the song Having You Around all the music are new interpretations of some of his favourite songs. Roachford covers familiar terrain between soul, pop and rock. For the German release of the 11 track album, due out on April 01, his first name has been dropped. It will contain two piano versions as bonus tracks. The first single will be the Sly & The Family Stone classic Family Affair (out March 11, UK: January 28), followed by a remix EP with four tracks (release date – UK Feb 02, rest of world March 23). After a couple of UK gigs in March Roachford is going on a tour, mainly through German-speaking countries in April, but there are also a few shows in the UK.
