Raindrops stop falling on my head…That is the title Martin Klinkhardt has chosen for his report from the Munich show, and it describes the German shows quite well. Munich was the last German stop on Genesis’ tour, and when the show began it was raining … for the last time … for the time being.
Brussels, 04/06/2007 – Genesis play a dress rehearsal to some 250 people: a show with the full production. It took place at Expo Hall 5. The GNC staff were there and Christian Gerhardts describes his impressions.
From November to mid-December 1997 Genesis had scheduled the first leg of their North American tour. Slow ticket sales and technical problems caused that part of the tour to be postponed indefinitely first and cancelled completely later. The first show was therefore the Budapest show on 29/01/1998.
In 1992 Genesis went on tour again, and once again everything became bigger and more gigantic than on previous tours. They played some 60 stadiums before they tacked on a theatre tour through England in the autumn.
In 1993 Genesis, Eric Clapton and musicians from Pink Floyd, Queen played a benefit concert at Cowdray Ruins. Looking back, this show is a pivotal Genesis gig – it was their last performance with Phil Collins for many years to come…
1983 and 1984 saw Genesis on their biggest tour so far, though it led them mainly through North America. In Europe, only the English fans had the privilege to see the bands for five nights at Birmingham.
