Chester Thompson Trio live in Italy

Chester Thompson is well know to Genesis fans for playing drums during the majority of Genesis and Phil Collins tours. He also worked with Steve Hackett and played a couple of shows in Japan, which were eventually recorded for the The Tokyo Tapes live album.

Chester has also been doing his own music for quite a while now, producing a couple of albums with his Chester Thompson Trio. The trio has released three albums so far:

The current line-up of the trio is Chester, Frank Ricci an also Alphonso Johnson (who played bass on Phil Collins’ much acclaimed debut album Face Value). The trio will play a cople of shows in the next few days and weeks, mainly in Italy:
