Chimpan A cover Peter Gabriel’s “Here Comes The Flood”

Robert Reed and Steve Balsamo aka Chimpan A have released an EP with a cover of the Peter Gabriel classic Here Comes The Flood.

Chimpan A is a prog project by Robert Reed and Steve Balsamo. The duo will release a new album, Music Is Art Vol. 1, later this year. Until then they commence a series of four EP releases leading up to the new album. The first EP is called Here Comes The Flood and contains five tracks.

There are two versions of the Peter Gabriel classic song Here Comes The Flood on the EP. Ged Lynch plays drums on this track and Neil Fairclough (Queen live band) plays bass. Neil Taylor plays guitar. Kirstie Roberts delivers the main vocals for this version.

Besides the “Single Edit”, there also is the “Evolving Mix”. The other three tracks are called Wolves, Sam’s Song and Speed Of Love. Other musicians involved are Guy Pratt (bass), Christina Booth, Angharad Brinn (both on vocals), Tony Dallas (spoken word), Sam Brown, Aitch McRobbie, Margo Buchanan (additional vocals).

The EP is available on CD and digital format on Bandcamp.
