Djabe & Steve Hackett: New 2CD/DVD live set in May

The collaboration between the Hungarian band Djabe and Steve Hackett has been going on for a couple of years now, and joint albums were also released frequently. At first, the focus was mainly on live performances, then there were also studio albums in this formation with Life Is A Journey: The Sardinia Tapes, Back To Sardinia and most recently The Magic Stag (unlike the first-mentioned Sardinia albums, however, The Magic Stag was not titled Djabe & Steve Hackett). Before and in between, there was a whole series of interesting live albums, for example Life Is A Journey: The Budapest Live Tapes.

Now Djabe have announced another live album with Steve Hackett: The Journey Continues. This concert was mainly recorded in Nyiregyhaza (Hungary) in August 2019. The concert continued a series of live performances that followed the aforementioned Sardinia releases of the collaboration between Djabe and Steve Hackett.

On two CDs and a DVD, The Journey Continues captures Djabe & Steve Hackett performing parts of these albums on the concert stage, along with classic Genesis material such as Hairless Heart, Firth of Fifth and Los Endos, Steve Hackett’s Last Train to Istanbul and Djabe compositions.

The DVD in this set also includes bonus tracks In That Quiet Earth and After Limoncello, recorded in St. Veit, Austria in 2018 and White Bears, recorded in Washington DC in 2019.
