Genesis: “The Lamb” boxset postponed
The announced The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway Deluxe Boxset by Genesis has been postponed and will now be released in June.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of Genesis’ classic The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, a deluxe box set was announced in November and was due to be released at the end of March (see our news at the time). It has now been revealed that the release date has been pushed back to 13 June.
The postponement has not yet been officially announced or confirmed by the management or the record company. But some sellers of the box set have already changed the release date. Digital services such as iTunes, Spotify & co. also list the new release date as 13 June.
The reason for the delay is apparently the Atmos mix, which has not yet been finalised. This was confirmed by an employee of the record company in the Steve Hoffman Forum and in the Quadraphonicquad Forum.
Pre-Order info
In some cases, the 4CD/Blu-ray set is currently unavailable for pre-order. Those retailers will get more stock when available. Here are some pre-order links:
