John Hackett Band: New album “Red Institution”

John Hackett Band Red Institution

The John Hackett Band celebrates this year’s 10th band anniversary with the release of their new album Red Institution and several live shows.

The band has been together since the promotion activities for John Hackett’s album Another Life, which also let to their band debut album We Are Not Alone in 2017. Band members Duncan Parsons, Jeremy Richardson and Nick Fletcher have also released albums on their own.

The John Hackett Band has announced the release of their new album Red Institution, due 11 April 2025. The press info says:

Red Institution reflects a band that has grown together over the last decade. Very different influences, playing and writing styles blend in an album of broad strokes; an eclectic, characterful album that offers hope among so many modern concerns. As is the hallmark of progressive music, classical, jazz, rock, funk, pop and folk all have their say. At once anthemic and elegiac, informative and playful, reflective and impressionistic, the album very much echoes the live experience of the band – from gentle, tender moments to the driving, urgent and purposeful.
