The original plan was to release an anniversary edition of the album Living Years (1988). There is still no information whether or not this plan will be finalized.
Meanwhile, it has now been revealed that another Collection of Hits will be released this October. The album will be called THE SINGLES: 1986-2013. As the title suggests, the collection will also contain new material. The new version of the track The Living Years, featuring Andrew Roachford on vocals and a South African choir, will NOT be part of the album. The album will have two CDs, one with the familiar singles and one with B-Sides and new material. There is a new song called When My Feet Don't Touch The Ground, sung by Andrew Roachford and an unreleased duet between Paul Carrack and Paul Young, called One By One. Mike has mentioned this duet in our interview with him in Dresden 2012. It's a bit strange that the album is called 1986-2013, since the very first Mechanics-single Silent Running was released in 1985. An official announcement has now been made and the full tracklist is:
