New Djabe & Steve Hackett live 2CD soon

"When The Sound Turns Sweet" out on 19 April

Every year, Djabe & Steve Hackett impress jazz and progressive rock fans with ever more harmonious and powerful performances. The 2023 tour once again brought a few surprises. The most attention-grabbing was the interpretation of the Genesis song Carpet Crawlers, fantastically sung by Péter Kaszás behind the drums. Listening to the whole concert, you get the feeling that the pieces are coming together more and more. The musicians and the songs from the repertoire of Djabe, Djabe & Steve Hackett, Genesis and Steve Hackett form an inseparable unit. Camino Royale, Ace Of Wands, Buzzy Island, Last Train To Istanbul and Los Endos are played with elemental power and energy. These are wonderfully counterpointed by lyrical compositions such as Franciska, Horizons, Tale, Hairless Heart and Firth Of Fifth. And jazz fans don't miss out either: in Could Have Been or Central European Time, the musicians of Djabe prove that they are undoubtedly among the leading musicians on the Hungarian jazz scene.

The album When The Sound Turn Sweet was recorded at the final concert of the 2023 tour on 20 June in Timisoara. At the sold-out concert, the audience at the Banatul Filarmonia cheered the musicians and the performance with prolonged applause and many standing ovations.

For the 2CD version, two songs were added as a bonus at the end of the material, which had been played the day before at the Gyor stop of the tour and had not been performed in Timisoara.
