Yesterday, the French EYE-D book presentation took place in Paris (at Fondation Azzedine Alaïa). EYE-D is a photo book by Anna Gabriel, Peter's daughter. They have already presented the Italian version of the book in Milan last year (see report here) and recently the English version in New York City. In Paris, they have also presented the English book version. Besides Peter and Anna, Manu Katche was also there - and Peter's first wife Jill.
During the event, Manu Katche mentioned the new album i/o and said there are at least two potential hits on this album. Also, he said there are plans for another European tour leg in 2024 - but that hasn't been confirmed yet. Manu is very enthusiastic about the album and the upcoming tour. And: Melanie Gabriel, Peter's other daughter, recorded some vocals for i/o, but won't be part of the upcoming touring band.
No news about the announcement of the album itself or the North American tour. A list of cities and venues has appeared on the internet recently, but due to the stated number of venues (around 45) it's highly unlikely this is the North American schedule for 2023. So just wait for the announcement of the North American shows, we will keep you up to date.
UPDATE: Another participant of the event known to us asked Peter Gabriel directly who will be the keyboardist of the tour. Peter replied that it's Don-E, chosen on recommendation. That would have to be this musician.
Find below some photos from yesterday, taken bei Edouard Girod yesterday (many thanks!)
