Phil Collins recently rehearsed with a band in Miami to find out whether or not he would be able to return on stage for a full concert tour (see our news item here). In the meantime, tickets went on sale or his appearance at the Little Dreams Foundation gig in Miami this December (see new items here). Phil Collins has now published a statement about his current plans:
"I will be performing three or four songs semi-acoustically, and maybe one more with my 13 year old son Nicolas on drums, but that's all as I am not ready to return to the full concert stage at this time".
Collins also says he wants to avoid high expectations for the one-off gig this December.
Fans around the world still hope that Collins might go on tour again. At least, his statement does not exclude the possibility at a later date. For the foreseeable future, this most likely means there are no immediate touring plans, although his statement refers to the Little Dreams Foundation gig. But since he is not ready to return to the "full concert stage" at this time, it's unlikely this may change in the near future. Read the full statement on his Facebook Page here.
Phil Collins Debutalbum became a classic of the 80ies and is probably his best album to date.
