The Record Store Day was established in 2007: This is a day for the people who make up the world of the record store - the staff, the customers, and the artists - to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role these independently owned stores play in their communities.
It is a nice opportunity to spport your local record store. For this purpose, limited editions and unique releases are available every year during the record store day.
In 2022, we have two days - 23rd April and 18th June.
From the Genesis family, Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett releases were announced for 18th June!
Peter Gabrkel - Live Blood (3LP)
The live album Live Blood, recorded in 2011, will be released on heavyweight 33RPM 3LP in blood-red vinyl. The album has been half-speed mastered for this purpose and the album comes in a gatefold sleeve with full colour printed inner bags and a download card with a choice of digital download (Hi-Res 24bit or 16bit).
This is "Record Store Day First" vinyl release of Live Blood and this edition is limited to 5.000 copies.

Steve Hackett - The Tokyo Tapes (3LP)
Steve Hackett's acclaimed 1996 live album The Tokyo Tapes will be available on 3LP as a Record Store Day exclusive release. The Tokyo Tapes features John Wetton (King Crimson), Chester Thompson (Genesis, Frank Zappa), the late Ian McDonald (King Crimson) & Julian Colbeck. It contains three additional studio tracks, was cut at Abbey Road Studio and comes on white vinyl with printed inner bags. This "Record Store Day Exclusive" version is limited to 1.500 copies.
