On 17th November the two Steve Hackett albums Genesis Revisited and Genesis Revisited II will be released on SACD in Japan. These are hybrid stereo versions, so there is no surround sound. The SACDs contain an additional, normal CD layer, which can then be played (in normal CD quality) on non-SACD compatible players. The first Gensis Revisited album does not contain the track list of the original Japanese first edition (with Riding The Colossus and without Los Endos), it contains the tracklist of the later released European / US version.
Tower Records Japan lists the albums here, HMV Japan here. In Europe or North America, the SACDs have not yet been announced and they probably won't. So far we do not have any additional information. In any case, a stereo SACD is only likely to appeal to a very audiophile section of fans.
