Steve Hackett & InsideOutMusic recently announced a series of reissues of his classical catalogue, which began last month with Bay Of Kings and Momentum (see our news item here). Now the next two albums get the treatment: Metamorpheus and Tribute are due for release on 15th November 2025.
Metamorpheus, originally released in 2005, is an expression on Orpheus and his passage through the underworld. It saw Steve collaborating with a horn and string section under the guise of The Underworld Orchestra, as well his brother John Hackett on flute & Dick Driver on double bass.
Tribute, originally released in 2008, saw Steve paying homage to some of his favourite composers including Bach, Byrd, Barrios and more, using only his nylon-stringed acoustic guitar.
Both albums have been newly remastered for vinyl, and will be available as Gatefold 180g LP’s in both black and limited coloured vinyl editions for the very first time (Metamprpheus: red / Tribute: orange). the colored versions will be available in Steve Hackett's webstore and the InsideOut store. New digipak CD editions will also be available, and they can all be pre-ordered here: Metamorpheus | Tribute
