Paul Carrack: New album – “A Different Hat”
After his recent albums I Know That Name and Paul Carrack: I Know That Name In Concert a new Paul Carrack album is going to come out on October 25.
A Different Hat follows a concept similar to what, for example, Sting and Peter Gabriel have done on their new records: Carrack has recorded some of his songs and classics by other artists with an orchestra. David Cullen has arranged the music and also conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The album contains the following tracks:
01 I Think It’s Going To Rain Today
02 Moon River
03 Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying
04 I Can’t Make You Love Me
05 I Live On A Battlefield
06 Eyes Of Blue
07 I Don’t Know Enough About You
08 All The Way
09 If You Love Me
10 Love Will Keep Us Alive
11 For All We Know
12 It Ain’t Over
The first song on the album is interesting – Peter Gabriel also covered this classic song by Randy Newman for Scratch My Back.
A Different Hat will be published as a standard CD album, on LP and as a Deluxe Edition. The latter comes as a book and has a bonus DVD that contains an extended interview with Paul, a photo gallery and an exclusive “Making Of” the album.
