Peter Gabriel: New song “Bol” feat. Atif Aslam

Nearly a year ago, Peter announced in one of his Full Moon Club videos that he was working on two new songs to be used in forthcoming movies.

One of these songs has now surfaced. In the United States, the movie The Reluctant Fundamentalist (main cast include Kiefer Sutherland, Kate Hudson and Riz Ahmed, more info can be found here) is currently being screened at cinemas. Part of the movie is the new Peter Gabriel song called Bol, which Peter has recorded together with Atif Aslam, who sings the second lead vocal. The track ist based on a poem written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Atif Aslam is responsible for the so called Urdu Vocal Arrangement. Aslam is very famous in his world, his Facebook-site has more than six million Likes (!) – just to compare: Peter Gabriel has just reached one million likes.

Bol is the song that is played during the end credits of the movie, but it’s not part of the soundtrack that has been released in North America recently. Nevertheless, you can listen to the song at YouTube (see below).
