Phil Collins: “Heatwave” is the first single in Germany

While the official website has announced that the title track Going Back will be the first single, Warner Music Germany has chosen (Love Is Like A) Heatwave. The airplay started 25th June. At this point there is no information whether this is only a radio single or if it will also be released physically or as a download-single in the near future.

The uptempo track is one of the 60ies classics, penned by the famous Holland/Dozier/Holland team. Martha & The Vandellas had their first No. 1 Hit in the R&B charts with that song.

Phil Collins is currently presenting his new album im the frame of a short showcase tour (first review of Philadelphia is available here, NYC to follow shortly). His new albm Going Back will be released in September (known dates so far: 10th: Germany / 13th: Europe / 14th: North America) and can already be preordered via PLAY.
