Phil Collins: “Live At Roseland Ballroom” DVD released

Today Phil Collins has released the live recording of his Motown shows on DVD and also for the first time on Blu-ray. The release is called Going Back: Live At Roseland Ballroom, NYC. It is Collins’ first concert film since Finally… The First Farewell Tour. This summer [of 2010] Phil Collins has played a number of showcase concerts to introduce his new album Going Back. The final show in New York City was filmed for this release. 

The live band included members of the legendary Funk Brothers,  who had already worked on the album recordings, as well as Chester Thompson, Daryl Stuermer, Brad Cole and Ronnie Caryl from Collins’ solo band. He had intentionally not played a large tour and played only a selection of shows. There have been mixed signals whether there will be more shows in 2011. Phil Collins has not ruled out this possibility completely.
