Phil Collins: Performance at the Alamo anniversary in Texas

Phil Collins will be joined by his long-time band members Daryl Stuermer and Brad Cole in a performance in San Antonio, Texas (USA), on 05/03/2011. The event takes place to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo. Other musicial contributions come from the San Antonio Symphony under Sebastian Lang-Lessing, country and blue grass legend Ricky Skaggs with his band Kentucky Thunder, George Strait & Leann Womack and many others. The event will take place on the Alamo Plaza; admission is free.

Collins has been interested in the history of the Battle of the Alamo in the aftermath of which Texas declared itself independent of Mexico on 02/03/1836. Collins has been collecting memorabilia from the battle in his Swiss home. He has also visited San Antonio several times.
