Steve Hackett in hospital, Phoenix show canceled
The Steve Hackett show in Phoenix (AZ) on Saturday could not take place as planned after an adverse reaction to medication forced Steve to go to hospital. Steve himself explained the situation on his social media channels today:
Hello everyone,
I’m so sorry for the scare. I’d hoped to power through the Phoenix show but I had a bronchial infection and a last minute adverse reaction to medication. Consequently, the Medics took me to hospital. I am now recovering and glad to be feeling okay. I was very sad to miss the show and I will return to play in Phoenix as soon as possible. My thanks to you all for your understanding and support.
With warmest wishes,
Steve
The Phoenix show was the last US-show of his Foxtrot At Fifty tour and the two shows in Mexico on 17 and 19 April will be the last shows of the whole tour.
Get well soon, Steve!
