Steve Hackett: “Spectral Mornings” Charity EP

One of the most popular steve Hackett solo is without any doubt the title track of his album Spectral Mornings. Rob Reed (Magenta) has gathered some well known prog rock musicians for a charity re-recording of this classic track – and for the first time this new recording also contains lyrics (and a singer). David Longdon (Big Big Train) wrote and sings the added lyrics. Besides David, Christina Booth (from Magenta as well) and Nick D’Virgilio as well as Nick Beggs are part of this project. Steve Hackett himself plays guitar. The project’s aim is to raise money and awareness for Parkinson Society UK. The song is available in four different versions on the EP. There is also a music video available (see below).
