Steve Hackett: “The Tokyo Tapes” 2CD/DVD reissue

In December 1996, Steve Hackett played some shows in Japan to promote his album Genesis Revisited, which had been released there earlier. Besides Steve, Julian Colbeck, Ian McDonald (King Crimson), John Wetton and Chester Thompson were part of the band. Later, a live album and a concert film were released, called The Tokyo Tapes (a review of the live album is available here). Both, Ian McDonald and John Wetton are no longer alive.

Esoteric / CherryRed have now reissued the 2CD/DVD bundle after the album was not available for quite some time. It will be back in stores at the beginning of the year and it can be pre-ordered at CherryRed, for example. So this is an opportunity to fill a gap in the collection if necessary.

A white vinyl version of the album was already released in spring on the occasion of Record Store Day (we reported).
