The German Genesis Fanclub turns 20!

It Is Accomplished!

The German Genesis Fanclub it, founded in 1991, celebrates its 20th anniversary this month. For us, this is a good reason to present something special on our website. The only problem: we could not stick to just a few articles, so many ideas have been developed. Besides other stuff, you will find a special Fanclub-CD, an image gallery for your pleasure, imporessions by fans, memories by ourselves (The Editors) and comments by members of the Genesis family. A special edition magazine was also produced, bis this is in German language and already sold out.

What can you expect – in detail??

To celebrate the anniversary, it is time for a new Editorial, it’s the first since our Website Relaunch 2010. The Editorial was an important part in the old fanclub magazones and we will continue with that tradition online – even if it’s not on a regular basis. You can find the new Editorial at this link.

Our fanclub chronology A History has also been updated. Find the complete article here.

cdBelieve it or not, we have released a Fanclub-CD. It’s the second one after 2002’s It’s Only Knock And Knowall, but this time it’s a 1-track-Digipak CD with 24-page booklet, featuring one of the earliest recordings by Mike Rutherford and Anthony Phillips, when they were still called Anon. The track Pennsylvania Flickhouse is now available on CD, remastered and wrapped in a nice Digipak-package, including liner notes by Richard Macphail, Anthony Phillips, Mike Rutherford and others. Needless to day: This CD is limited. Click here for more information and to order your copy.

Family Snapshots – 20 years of ‘it’ – photos

snapshotsEver wondered what has happened in 20 years and what we have been doing with all our spare-time? Here, you may find some answers. We have compiled some photos from our personal archives, some of them may show how much fun we had, others may give an impression about how much work it is to rund a fanclub and yearly events. Enjoy our photo gallery at this link.

Thru the eyes of … the Editors

editorsThe German Genesis Fanclub it is run by four people. We all have our own view on the fanclub, got involved in different projects but still get along with each other extremely well. We had the idea to write some personal notes about each one’s apprach to the work for the fanclub. We haven’t done this before to this extense, so you may find some interesting inside-information here.

Memories and wishes – by members, website readers and forum-user

variousFor us, it was important to see how our members, the fans and friends got to know the fanclub over the past 20 years. We also wanted some feedback and so we ask short term and long term members to write some lines about it. Some people also sent in stuff on their own and even Mario Giammetti and Armando Gallo have contributed. Click here to read the articles.

Letters and wishes by members of the Genesis family

genesisIt wasn’t planned from the very beginning, but suddenly we were in contact with some people from the Genesis family. In the end Ray Wilson, Steve Hackett, Richard Macphail, John Hackett and Dale Newman have contributed some words. All of them were our guests at fanclub conventions and events. You can read their letters here.

Feedback? No problem!

Whatever you’d like to say – just say it! You may either choose the feedback thread in our online-forum, or alternatively use our Facebook-site. This could also be a continuation of all the letters we have received already and published in our website-special.
