Phil Collins released his probably most personal album Both Sides on 08/11/93. It marked a break in his oeuvre and led to spirited debates. Peter Maiwald looks back. For him the album has lost none of its charme.
After the highly successful Genesis tour in 1992 Phil Collins hurried back into the studio to (as it turned out later) cope with the problems of his private life. The result is Both Sides, a very personal album he recorded without any other musicians.
