In the summer of 2001, Anthony Phillips begins the musical journey to his next album, which will last a few years. After his last album became a purist piano album, Ant wants to write pieces for his next album only for his large collection of string instruments. Over 30 new pieces will be written in this half year.

But before it starts recording his new album, library jobs for Atmosphere are on the schedule again. He is involved in the projects Ethereal Journeys 4, True Stories and Drones. But six more pieces are being created that he wants to use for his next album.

In 2003 Ant reunites with Joji Hirota to record one last Wildlife production for Nick Gordon. The joint work for Secrets Of The Amazon is the last of a whole series that would be released collectively four years later on the Phillips/Hirota album Wildlife.

In 2007, Anthony Phillips took colleague Chris White on board, with whom he would work more frequently on library productions in the years to come. A first joint result, along with solo tracks by Ant, ended up in the Atmosphere Library project The Movie Soundtrack. Other tracks by Ant will appear on Atmosphere's The Rhythm Factory and on FTV Publishing's Mixed Bag 3. Of the latter, one will also be released commercially.

In the year 2010 another new face joins the Phillips cosmos as Ant teams up with composer and singer Sophia Letitia "Lettie" Maclean on library projects for Atmosphere that include vocals. In addition to solo pieces by Ant, there are collaborations between the two for Essential Electronica, Orchestral Undercurrentsand The Rhythm Collective. More solo numbers end up on The Movie Soundtrack 2 and Inspiring World, and further results of the collaboration with Chris White are used for World Of Entertainment and Little Pictures, Big Ideas.

In addition, Ant continues to work on the tracks for his keyboard-based solo album.

In 2011, in addition to recording his solo album, he is again producing tracks for Atmopshere with Chris White and Lettie Maclean. With both of them, contributions are made for the Summer Songs project, one of which is also commercially available four years later.

On the library front, 2012 sees a couple of collaborative tracks with Chris White for Factual Underscores 2, as well as Anthony Phillips' first collaboration with Samuel Bohn for Atmosphere's Atmos 300 anniversary project.

In the first half of the year, however, the focus will be on completing his new solo album. The keyboard-based work, which was created over four years, is entitled City Of Dreams and is already the eleventh part of his Private Parts & Pieces series.
