Dave Kerzner and Sonic Elements will release a top-class tribute album to the Genesis classic The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway on November 22.
Kerzner had been talking about this project for some time, but in the end it never came to fruition - but now the time has come. IT - A Celebration Of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway will be released on Bandcamp on November 22.
The album will be featuring lead vocals and guitar from Francis Dunnery (It Bites), keyboards from Dave Kerzner (Sound of Contact, In Continuum), drums by Nick D'Virgilio (Big Big Train, Genesis) and Martin Levac (The Musical Box) and other musicians such as Feando Perdomo (Dave Kerzner Band), Billy Sherwood (Yes), Steve Rothery (Marillion), Lee Pomeroy (ELO, It Bites), Dan Hancock (Giraffe) plus additional guest musicians and a symphony orchestra recorded by Mark Hosby and arranged by John Hinchey.
The DELUXE EDITION is a 3 CD version that contains the full album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway reimagined as if it was a symphonic film soundtrack combined with authentic 70's vintage rock instruments (including many of Tony Banks' actual keyboards now owned by Kerzner). This is a cover album/tribute to the band Genesis and their concept album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway released 50 years ago on November 22, 1974 with the original 5 man line up of Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Steve Hackett, Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins.
CD 3 (Deluxe Edition Only) contains instrumental mixes, film score-style ambient tracks, original music inspired by Genesis and alteate versions of songs from The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway are featuring additional guests such as Nad Sylvan (Steve Hackett), Randy McStine (Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson) and more!
Accordingly, IT - A Celebration Of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway will be released on November 22nd on the 50th anniversary and can be pre-ordered on Bandcamp.
