This November the German Genesis Fanclub it celebrates its 20th anniversary. It was in November 1991 that Helmut Janisch and Peter Schütz founded the club, and the first issue of the fanclub magazine appeared only a month later.
To celebrate this we will have an anniversary special on our website in which we will look back across 20 years of work for the Fanclub. Club members will talk about their memories of the original printed it magazine, the evolution of the website and the various Fanclub events. If you have been following the fanclub and the things it has made possible we would like to ask you to tell us about it and e-mail it to us.
As a special birthday present we are going to produce a limited Fanclub CD single with a very special song: Pennsylvania Flickhouse by Anon! Anon and The Garden Wall were obviously the two bands that merged to become Genesis. This song was one of the first original compositions Anon ever wrote and it has never been released before, so the anniversary CD will be its actual first release ever. We are working very hard on it, and we hope that we will be able to offer you the Digipak-CD with a comprehensive booklet that includes hitherto unknown photos and detailed information about the song and Anon in November. (It will also have an extremely ‘nice price’.)
Apart from the Jubilee Event in March 2012, which will be all about The Lamb Lies Down..., we have even more surprises for you in store. Keep your eyes peeled, because even after 20 years we still have more to come!
