Peter Gabriel has released an alternative version of his song Mercy Street in his Full Moon Club on Bandcamp today.
After a whole series of Blood Of Eden variants in the last lunar cycle, there is an alternative version of Mercy Street today for the full moon, which was recorded at the beginning of 1986. Gabriel calls it the "piano version" and indeed the piano is the defining element. Parts of these ideas were later used for the William Orbit remix, which was released on the Blood Of Eden single in 1993.
Gabriel's Full Moon Club on Bandcamp provides fans with at least three tracks per month and costs £3 per month. A credit card is required for the subscription. You can find the Full Moon Club here.
