Through The Wire is a Peter Gabriel tribute project that originated in Lockdown and unites many musicians, also from Peter Gabriel's own musical environment. The project itself explains in its press release:
Through The Wire is a collective of 100-plus acclaimed musicians, including Peter Gabriel's longest serving bandmate, bassist Tony Levin, have come together remotely to celebrate the superstar's 72nd birthday. For over a year, Jeremy Nesse and Deane Aold have been producing reimagined, new recordings of Gabriel's songs.
The project will release a series of EPs in the coming months. The first two EPs were released earlier this year:
Volume 1: Start, I Don't Remember, Down To Earth, Growing Up, The Tower That Ate People and Zaar.
Volume 2: Big Time, Curtains, Red Rain, D.I.Y. and Lead A Normal Life
