This Wild Darkness is the name of the new band in which Jack Hues is involved. They recently released a mini-album entitled The Notorious Memphis Rains.
Besides Jack Hues (vocals, lyrics), Tommy Marz (vocals, drums, guitars), Arion Salazar (bass), Jeff Schroeder (guitars, known from the Smashing Pumpkins), Scotti Hill (guitars, known from Skid Row), Chuck Bartels (bass) and Slim Gambill (guitar) are part of the project. Tommy Marz is the head of this project.
The official website states in the biography: What happens when the musical universe brings together members of Skid Row, Third Eye Blind, Lady A, Wang Chung, Smashing Pumpkins and Sturgill Simpson?
A legitimate question - in any case, it is more rocking and also more melodic than the albums that Jack Hues has produced as a solo artist in recent years. And that's no wonder, because the band structure takes centre stage here and the electric guitars and vocals in particular are given plenty of space. Jack Hues wrote the lyrics and shares the vocals with Tommy Marz.
The Notorious Memphis Rains has a playing time of around 21 minutes and contains five tracks.
