Shortly before the more than difficult year 2020 came to an end for the event industry and artists of all kinds, Lamont Van Hook released his new song with the appropriate title Something New.
Lamont Van Hook has been an integral part of the background singers in Phil Collins' live band since the promotion concerts for Testify in 2002. But he has also worked with other musicians such as Joe Cocker, Rod Stewart and Stevie Wonder.
As a solo artist, Something New is a first for Lamont Van Hook. In addition to the studio version, another video of the song worth seeing was published. Lamont Van Hook was accompanied by Daryl Stuermer, Leland Sklar and Brad Cole at a kind of jam session that took place backstage on Phil Collins' Not Dead Yet Tour 2019 in Germany.

Phil Collins Debutalbum became a classic of the 80ies and is probably his best album to date.
