The version of the song Party Man, which appeared on the soundtrack of the film Virtuosity in 1995, has now been released on Bandcamp.
The third song in this moon cycle in Peter Gabriel's Full Moon Club on Bandcamp is Party Man. This version originally appeared on the soundtrack of the film Virtuosity. It's a different version from This Is Party Man, which was released on the Rated PG album. The version presented here contains no verses, but only a repeating chorus with subtle instrumentation. It was created together with The Worldbeaters. Tori Amos and George Acogny are listed as co-authors - Acogny being the man behind The Worldbeaters.
Although this version was only found on the soundtrack CD of the film and is currently not available on any streaming platform, it's not really unreleased. There is another version that can be heard at the end of the film (end credits) that actually differs slightly from the soundtrack version. This version would have probably been more suitable for the Full Moon Club.
Party Man is now available for download and streaming on Bandcamp.
Gabriel's Full Moon Club on Bandcamp provides fans with three tracks per month and costs £3 per month. A credit card is required for the subscription. You can find the Full Moon Club here.
